Business East Sussex’s advice workshops to be held online
Business East Sussex experts are running free online marketing workshops next week, which will include advice for businesses in respect of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The workshops are part of a programme organised by Business East Sussex Growth Hub to help small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) get ready to operate in a post-Brexit economy. The content has been updated to reflect the immediate challenge of business continuity in the Coronavirus pandemic.
Ian Smallwood, Head of Business East Sussex Growth Hub, said: “While Brexit issues are still critical, the big issue for SMEs at the moment is how they are going to survive the next few weeks. All businesses are affected by Coronavirus in some way so we will be discussing what help and support is available for them.”
The marketing element of the workshops will be presented by Gavin McWhirter of Digital Islands, an organisation that provides practical solutions to help SMEs grow and become more resilient.
Gavin will show delegates how to create effective marketing strategies that will put their business in front of new customers. He will discuss different marketing channels, including digital platforms such as Facebook for Business and LinkedIn, as well as the more traditional off-line channels. He will also look to the future and the issues that could affect business growth as the UK moves into a new relationship with the EU.
The workshops are free and will take place from 9.30am – 12pm on Tuesday 24; Wednesday, 25 and Thursday, 26. The videos will be available for viewing on demand after the events.
