Free Marketing Workshops for East Sussex Businesses

Published on in Uncategorised

Workshops for businesses looking for new customers and marketing opportunities are being held across East Sussex.

The workshops are part of a programme organised by Business East Sussex Growth Hub to help small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) get ready for the changes and challenges of operating in a post-Brexit economy.

Ian Smallwood, Head of Business East Sussex Growth Hub, said: “There is going to be a considerable amount of change and uncertainty in the near future, and the businesses that are prepared and open to new opportunities will be the ones that thrive.

“Marketing methods are developing all the time, and these workshops will show business owners how they can find new markets and use new marketing channels.”

The workshops are led by Gavin McWhirter of Digital Islands, an organisation that provides practical solutions to help SMEs grow and become more resilient.

Gavin will show delegates how to create effective marketing strategies that will put their business in front of new customers.   He will discuss different marketing channels, including digital platforms such as such as Facebook for Business and LinkedIn as well as the more traditional off-line channels like print advertising and networking.

The session will end with a look to the future and the issues that could affect business growth as the UK moves into a new relationship with the EU.

The marketing workshops will take place from 9am-12 as follows:

  • Tuesday, March 24 at the Brewery Yard Club in Rye
  • Wednesday, March 25 at StonesThrow in Crowborough
  • Thursday, March 26 at the Newhaven Enterprise Centre.

The workshops are free to attend.  For further information on how to register please go to http://bit.ly/businesseastsussex
