Queen’s Award for Enterprise: East Sussex Business urged to apply

Published on in News

As businesses reopen and emerge from the Covid-19 lockdown, East Sussex businesses are being urged not miss out on recognition and to apply for the Queen’s Enterprise Award.

Jim May, Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex, said: “It is rare for me to come across a local organisation that knows about the Queens Award for Enterprise and yet we have some incredible businesses in East Sussex, including in Brighton & Hove. It is time for our businesses to be properly rewarded for their great achievements by gaining the highest accolade in the UK.”

“Applications are free and the online process is very simple. Please take action now as the closing date for the 2021 QAE Awards is 9 September”

Identity Group, based in Eastbourne is a full service events agency. It won a 2020 QAE in International Trade, for delivering live and virtual events across the world with over 50% of revenue coming from international sales.

Michael Gietzen, Managing Director of Identity said: “There is no doubt that a Queen’s Award is among the most prestigious business awards that the UK offers. It brings worldwide recognition, increased commercial value, greater publicity and, of course, a boost to staff morale.”

“When we were announced as a winner, the entire team was really buoyed up. Never before was this boost in morale the perfect tonic than during this pandemic year. There is no doubt that a Queen’s Award is recognised as a serious accolade across all industry sectors and all geographical boundaries. I would strongly recommend all companies give it a go. If you don’t throw your hat in the ring then you have no chance of winning!”

Applications must be completed and submitted by midday on 9th September 2020.
