South East Business Boost in East Sussex
A new South East Business Boost programme has now launched in East Sussex with four fantastic offers for local businesses. The programme aims to support business to improve productivity and raise employment across all sectors of the East Sussex economy, supporting new and established businesses, and reaching enterprises not currently engaged with business support.

The South East Business Boost Programme has been part funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020. It is a partnership between East Sussex County Council, Essex County Council, Kent County Council, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council and Thurrock Council.

Support for female-led and ethnic minorities-led small and medium-sized businesses

Aimed at female-led and ethnic minorities-led small and medium-sized businesses, SEBB >BREAKTHROUGH aims to break through these barriers and unlock the growth potential of these businesses. Our team will support you to realise your potential and help increase your confidence to access support and networks.
>BREAKTHROUGH offers businesses mentoring support, access to tailored workshops, exclusive tools and resources, and the chance to apply for up to £10k in cash.

Support for established businesses who want to adapt, improve and grow
If you’re an ambitious business owner with great ideas of how your company could grow over the next few years, then we’d love to help.
SEBB Big Ambitions is aimed at established businesses who want to adapt, improve and grow. We have assembled a team of 14 specialists who are available to help and advise businesses in their specialist areas.
Businesses participating in the programme will receive a rapid business assessment that provides recommendations and advice, support to develop a tailored growth plan for your business, and 1-to-1 business support from one or more of our specialists.
SEBB Ready to Grow
Support for new businesses up to 12 months old
If you are a new business going through start up, or a young business still working everything out, this programme can help set you on a path to sustainability and growth.
SEBB Ready to Grow is aimed at new businesses up to 12 months old. In small groups businesses will progress through the programme developing a growth plan and through targeted workshops designed to build a foundation for business growth.
Businesses participating in the programme will receive a rapid business assessment that provides recommendations and advice, 3 hours of 1 to 1 support to develop a tailored growth plan for your business, 10 small group workshops with different subject matter experts, and free access to a series of Master Classes on a specialist topic or to cover subjects in more depth.
SEBB Grants Programme
Grants to support businesses improve productivity and increase employment
The SEBB Grants Programme is designed to help boost businesses productivity and support increases in employment. Through the programme, businesses can apply for up to 30% of the cost of a project up to £10,000.
Grants can mainly be used to support capital investments such as the purchase of new equipment or machinery, although some funding is available to support revenue projects such as work on businesses processes or marketing support.
