What a NOVO Classic award means to CLIP

We are over the moon to have won a Classic NOVO Award at CLIP. We’re incredible proud to share this achievement with all the talented young musicians we worked with across the East of England.
CLIP began as an informal monthly meetup for experimental musicians and has grown into a thriving CIC which provides musical services and products which enable and empower young people to take creative risks and create exciting new music. Such as our innovative Photon Smasher instrument, a microphone that turns light into sound; turning bicycle lights into drum machines and LEDs into melodies.
Based in North Essex, CLIP’s free accessible music workshops support young creatives to explore music technology and get curious with sound in supportive and encouraging environments, ensuring self-perceived ability is never a barrier to entry. CLIP’s innovative range of music instruments offers exciting new accessible ways of making electronic music, and in turn generating income with supports our social cause.
CLIPs mission is to encourage everyone to get curious with sound, and so in our future we want to continue to reach more people. Our exciting plans include working with more educational and cultural partners, as well as developing new instruments for our Photon Smasher product line.
