Signly
Signly is a member of Microsoft’s AI for Good Cohort. It is an assistive sign language app which delivers smart British Sign Language (BSL) directly to the user’s mobile device providing Deaf people with equal access to information, advice and services. Signly have leveraged technologies to continue to expand and grow their capabilities. This included its recent Signly Browser extension which allows users to translate their webpage and serve up signed content by real people. In December 2019, Lloyds Bank became the first UK organisation to offer British Sign Language ( BSL) website translation for Deaf customers through Signly browser extension, providing access to essential financial information to break down some of the barriers faced by Deaf customers.
