With a number of Offshore Windfarms surrounding the coast of the East and South East, most of us are aware of how greatly they contribute huge volumes of clean energy into our network, reducing the nations reliance on dirtier power generation sources such as coal and gas.

Already a hotspot for the UKs offshore wind sector, the Eastern and South Eastern regions are home to more than 50% of the UKs operational fleet. These regions also have one of the UKs largest pipelines for new projects, forecasting over £62bn of investment by 2050. This existing regional fleet and significant future investment offers huge opportunities for the local supply chain to become involved offering their products and services to support projects from the early planning stages, through development, construction, operations and maintenance and final decommissioning.

In order to meet this demand, how do businesses across the region wanting to become part of the supply chain ensure they can access the information they need in this sector, and how can they identify whether they are bid-ready?

Launched earlier this year, the Clean Growth South East programme aims to engage with businesses across Essex, Kent and East Sussex, to understand their challenges and opportunities around achieving clean growth and will develop practical actions to support businesses to become greener and grow in this exciting sector.

This next event in the series of virtual events and webinars introduces the Offshore Wind and Supply Chain Opportunities across the South East, and explores the incentives and schemes available, to those wanting to diversify and supply into the offshore wind market.
