INNOVATE: Improving routing efficiency in Attended Home Delivery via order forecasting and dynamic pricing by Dr. Xinan Yang
Online retailing has started to take higher and higher share in grocers’ revenue, while the Attended Home Delivery (AHD), which aims to fulfil customer orders during pre-agreed time slots, is one of the most costing and polluting sections of the logistics chain. This work proposes a joint approach of revenue management and forecasting through dynamic vehicle routing to balance the time slotted delivery demands so as to improve the fulfilment efficiency.
