Cyber security and data protection – know the facts before you get hacked

David Carter, Director of Supply Chain Management and Philip Long, Digital Technology Director from Raytheon UK will explain cyber threats such as malware, ransomware and obtaining financial and personal details through phishing. They’ll cover how the future survival and reputation of a company depends on the protection against these risks and threats, and that we are only as strong as our weakest link, which is typically the supply chain.

Colin Tankard, Managing Director at Digital Pathways, will cover how hackers exploit weaknesses in businesses to gain access to data, and the ramifications to the business of data loss. He will also cover practical cost-effective steps any size organisation can take to protect themselves both in the cloud as well as on devices within the organisation.

Given users are the greatest risk to data loss the presentation will cover training and policies for staff which can be adopted.

Finally, we will outline the benefits that having a data security policy can bring for new business opportunities, especially in the Public Sector.
