As part of this journey, many of them need to access cash in order to unlock their potential. She will take you through the different types of funding available, and how to hone your pitch for equity funding.

About the presenters:

Emma Douglas-Beet

Emma has over 20 years’ experience in supporting innovative businesses. She has supported founders to launch, scale and grow innovations, guiding them to secure over £20m equity funding from Angels, funds, and crowdfunding platforms.

Julie Pauley

Julie has worked with hundreds of SMEs to access the help they need across several funded business support programmes. She has a background in Public Relations, Marketing, and Innovation and Growth coaching.

Deepti Agarwal

Deepti is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (ICAEW). She has been helping businesses since she founded the company in 2009. Prior to starting the company, Deepti worked at KPMG, where she gave advice and audited the accounts of many multinational companies including Pepsi, John Deere and Symantec. Deepti now uses all her experience to help businesses and entrepreneurs with financial coaching and mentoring, as well as their accounts and taxes to help them grow and scale their businesses. Deepti has particular expertise in filing claims for R&D tax credits. She also teaches Financial and Management Accounting at the Institute of Manufacturing, University of Cambridge.
