withMichelle marketing and networking event: Inspiration, Success and climbing to new heights for entrepreneurs

This online withMichelle marketing event will take place on Thursday 13 January, 11am to 1pm via Zoom. Those who will benefit from attending include sole-traders, business owners, B2B and B2C SMEs, professional services businesses, business support and training providers, not-for-profit businesses, charities, creatives and artists. Specifically, for those who work or do business in Essex.

This marketing event will provide you with an opportunity to be inspired by two Essex-based entrepreneurs who are making waves and are eager to share their knowledge and experiences. Specifically, about how best we can help each other achieve success in business by: finding support and funding during these challenging times; understanding the issues facing our businesses; making valuable connections; building collaborative relationships for growth; and celebrating success.

Keynote speakers

We have two of the most fantastic speakers, both of whom are trailblazers within their field. They have visions that turn their dreams into reality. A determination that cuts through barriers and obstacles. See biographies below.

Emily Vermont

Emily Vermont, with husband Gordon, is Founder of IndiRock, a new bouldering wall and coffee shop opening in the Victoria Circus Shopping Centre, Southend. IndiRock’s aim is to bring the adventure & enjoyment of bouldering to Southend, providing a supportive environment and to be part of the revival of Southend – bouldering is booming! IndiRock will offer around 20 local people job opportunities and job skills training for those who need it most. Indirock hopes to support vulnerable young people from Southend through a work-skills training programme, helping to develop their confidence. IndiRock has been community focussed from the start with links to local charities and support organisations. Emily and Gordon were ready to sign the lease on their venue and start building then the global pandemic hit! They plan to launch in January 2022. Emily is a visionary and pioneer.

Josephine Melville

Josephine Melville is a multi-talented artist. She is a dancer, actress, singer, producer, writer, director and archivist. Jo started her career as a performer and went on to write, produce, curate and direct, amassing a variety of work credits, including household known plays, musicals and festivals. In the UK as well as overseas. A Creative Therapist at Havens Hospice, working with patients with life limiting illnesses. Jo is also the Founder of South Essex African Caribbean Association (SEACA) which was set up to celebrate and recognize the diversity of Southend and beyond. SEACA acknowledges the rich culture that plays a part in the ever-changing face of Southend, bringing about community cohesion and cultural understanding. More recently Jo has presented community projects regarding Covid-19 recovery and A Time to Shine, an opportunity for anyone to perform immersive theatre.
