Local Restrictions Grants in East Sussex

The Local Restrictions Grant Scheme supports businesses for each 14-day period that they are forced close due to restrictions. The grant, which is based on the rateable value of the property on the first full day of local restrictions, is available through your local council.
All East Sussex District and Borough Councils have now opened for applications. To apply, follow the links below to your local council:
- Eastbourne and Lewes Councils
- Hastings Borough Council
- Rother District Council
- Wealden District Council
The Government have said that the scheme will be extended to cover each additional 14-day period of closure. If your business is closed for 28-days, or 2 payment cycles, it may receive £1,334, £2,000 or £3,000, depending on the rateable value of the property.
Businesses that are required to close under the new Tier 2 restrictions in East Sussex may be eligible for a further Local Restrictions Grant to cover December. Please continue check your local district or borough council’s website for more information.
